This guy has forgotten how many times he calls me, he won't give his number or who he talks for, I give him zero information. He has been calling for over a year. He want my credit card number to lover my interest rate, but my phone gets his number.
Claims to be a Microsoft technician to deal with a computer problem that I don't have by trying to take over my computer. This happens countless times, I'm sure to me and to others by folks claiming to represent companies thwey don'e even work for. I ask them not to call but it does no good, nor does reporting it to sites like this. They just call from another number.
Some clown with what sounds like an Indian accent called to advise me that a technician working on the Windows server noticed that my computer is infected by a computer virus. This fellow must be new at scamming because he seemed stymied when I told him I used a Verizon server, not a Windows server. When I asked him, repeatedly "how do you know my computer has a virus; what is the source of you information?", all he could do was repeat that my computer was connected to the internet and the Microsoft router showed that my computer was infected with a virus. Then, he asked if I would turn on the computer and click on the START button on bottom left side of screen.
Just for fun, I said "What makes you think my start button is on the lower left side of the screen? Do you even know which version of Windows I'm using?" Then, he guessed I was using Windows 8 and I told him he was wrong, to guess again and he said Windows 7. That's when I told him I didn't have time to play this game with him, that it was time for him to move on to the next prospect because I preferred not to be scammed today. There was a silence for almost half a minute, during which time I assumed he was muting his phone and asking the trainer next to him how to proceed from this point. Apparently, his answer must have been "This is when you just hang up." Can you imagine the rudeness of this scammer? He never said "goodbye"!
