These clowns have been calling forever. I sometimes pick up and let it sit there - usually there's nobody online and it's quickly disconnected. Today around 11:15 AM some fool started talking, asking for me by name. I asked who was calling and he said David from Crown Construction. I interrupted his pitch and told him I was on the DNC; he said he didn't think that was around anymore. I said yes it is around and you guys are breaking the law, and if you call again I'll take legal action. When he said he never heard of that law, I said "then you're either an idiot or a liar and I don't waste my time with either." Told him to never call again and hung up.
Of course none of this will do any good until our legislators grow backbones, but at least it made me feel a little better.
I am on the National Do Not Call List but these folks call several times a week, sometimes 2 or 3 times in one day and NEVER leave a message, just hang up.
I get several calls a week from this number. I rec'd one just minutes ago. When I answer, there is silence. I say hello several times, but get no response and I hang up. It's a big nuisance.
I got one today. It's not even the real number that placed the call. Another example of telemarketing scum that are not only illegally placing calls to us who are on the DNC Registry, but they are illegally spoofing the CallerID information. If you call back it goes to an unidentified MagicJack customer who is not available. In order to get MagicJack to do anything, you have to file a police report and then send them the number.
