This is an IRS Scam. The caller claimed to be with US Tax Health Network, a company that appears to be bogus. He stated that I was delinquent on IRS taxes and would need to pay what was due or be in trouble with the IRS. When I told him that he called a police department cell phone he apologized and said that he would remove my name from his list. DO NOT Send any money to this organization or engage in conversation. Hang up the phone.
Got my second call from 951-262-9026 today and the person on the other end tried to identify himself as a Richard Sullivan. When I asked him who he was calling for and the purpose of his call in a stern voice the coward hug up! Reading all the reviews ahead of mine, this was another scam attempt that didn’t go well.
i received a call from this number.. claimed to be "Richard Sullivan" .. states I am in "serious trouble" with the IRS and/ Or state government and they would help me to get some relief if I would only answer a few questions... I told him that I was turning him in and thanked him for providing a phone number!
Same scam as others reported. In my case, they called my 14 yr old son's cell which he left at home while at school. It is a new phone/number so I try to answer it during the day as he gets quite a few calls for what I assume was the previous owner of the number. The guy spoke quickly and at length, never actually asking for anyone specific. When I tried to interrupt to let him know he had the wrong number, he got louder. I responded in kind, telling him he called a minor's phone and asked that he identify whom he was attempting to reach. He immediately hung up.
I rejected a called from this number today because I don't know anyone in California. I Googled the number, like I always do unknown numbers, and this site was the first to list the number. I'm glad I Googled it! I've heard about the IRS scams and my parents have gotten calls from the scammers before, but this is my first time. I've blocked the number. I wish the FEDS would do something about this! They can trace the number.
