The poster is referring to a checking account -- if it was overdrawn, I can't imagine the bank would let a person close it. Even with a credit card account, the issuing bank could freeze the use of it, but it would not be actually closed until it was paid off. Having an account "open" does not equate to being able to spend money.
I got a call from these people who are actually trying to get in touch with my daughter. Sounds like they hunt down every person who could possibly be related to her. They call at least once or twice a day. She doesn't owe anyone any money so I am just going to delete the messages! Very very annoying!
Obviously Jim Murphy still works here. I have looked at some of these comments and laughed because that is the same person who has been calling my house once or twice a week trying to locate my daughter. I love call rejection!!
It's wonderful to have a silent ring tone when these people call, And caller ID at home. They are rude and annoying when they leave messages. They all have same script, "It's a time sensitive issue and they look forward to my call today, blah, blah, blah!" They make me laugh. I don't intend to call them. If this was a legitimate concern, send a formal letter to the recipient instead of calling people 2-3 times in a row, leave a message and do they same thing the next day.
