They call and leave this number for me to call them back at.. they say they have imparitive information they need to share with me and that if I don't call them back they will file legal suit against me...
I was called by someone claiming they were with JDI Associates -- they left a message that they had called me several times (not true) and that I must call them today regarding "your land" -- I called, and got a machine, which I left a message on. The number I was instructed to call was: 351-279-4500. I was called from the following numbers:
951-736-5924
951-737-4800
I agree with the above post. I think it's some sort of scam
I got the same message on my phone,,,,,,,they have NOT made several attempts to contact me. I would have no reason for them to be calling me about my property. Unless they are a little more polite, I will not even give them the courtesy of speaking with them anyway.
I also got a message to call this number back. JDI Associates left a message and said they had left numerous messages and I needed to call today regarding my property address. I called the number and they answered Corporate Offices how may I direct your call? I hung up. Glad I found this site. A couple months ago I received phone calls saying I was being charged with felony counts regarding a loan I had and did not repay. If I paid the amount they requested I wouldn't have to go to court. They gave all my banking info and I was so scared I gave them my debit card number to withdraw a sum of $450. I then called the courthouse and she said it was a scam and if not careful they will clean out your acct.. I had to cancel my debit card and checking acct. just to be safe and the bank got my money back for me. I learned my lesson the hard way. But when you receive threatening calls regarding your property or potential law suits it can really terrify a person, I know it did me.
I have been getting calls from this number for a few days. My wife talked to them yesterday. They said they were looking for my daughter and that she had been named in a civil suit. My wife gave them no information. They called today and I talked to them. I talked to a woman first ( she gave her name as Monique Miller) When I asked for their company information ie. their address she put a man on the phone.
He was very hateful so I did not tell him anything and that I felt he was a scammer. At that point he became more hateful. Has anyone reported these people to the California Attorney General?
Good work! I am looking into these birds. According to Dateline, these [***] (in the generic) have threatened physical harm. I have 14 years' experience with the Treasury Department and I have started to look into this company, i.e., JDI Associates. I will check back here to see if you reply, or anyone else. I think I'm gonna maybe have some fun with these guys :)
You see, there are all kinds of laws and regulations, both state and federal, which govern their activities, and it used to be they were afraid of being reported,. But not any more: There are so many they are flooding the regulators with complaints. Somebody (maybe not these guys) wanted me to pay a 20-year-old bad check written in in another state! This guy is named Duncan -- looks to be the boss --- and told me his name was "Your Worst Nightmare". I plan to call him back and leave a message to call HIS Worst Nightmare. Always do a *67.before you call them or any other debt collector. To repeat, that is Star Six Seven. Hope to hear from you; well, and anybody else having trouble with JDI.
