I told that lady from Merchant Services to just send a letter because I was not going to transfer her to ANYONE here in my office. She said she could not send a letter that it has to be told over the phone to the President of the company. I told her if you can say it over the phone then you can put it in a letter and mail it. She went on and on and I would not budge. I already know she is a scammer but she's playing her part as a serious professional who only wants to let us know our account has been flagged and that the President needs to be informed. Lady, if our account is flagged then it's our damn business, not yours so don't freaking worry about it and go straight to scammer Hell!!
First she told me they were part of our original provider. Then she told me they we above our current merchant provider. I told her she was a liar and hung up. She called back immediately 2 more times trying to convince me they were Smart Card and were above our current provider but she didn't know who our provider was.
Claimed to have an "critical message" about our merchant account. I told her I wasn't interested; she called back and said it wasn't a case of being interested, my account had been flagged...at that point I said I do not talk to people if I have no idea who they are and hung up. She called a third time and I didn't answer it. One of the most stubborn of the breed..
Scammer calling asking for the President, told her that was me... said she needed to speak to me about my merchant account... told her she was full of [***], she asked why I would say something like that, if I really was the President. I replied that even after 35 years in business, I still answer my own phone, and we don't take credit cards. *click*
