You can go to your cell service provider's web site, and they should have a blocking program. Verizion does, anyway. I just log into my Verizon account and enter the number I want to block. Anyone calling after they have been blocked gets a message to the effect that "the number you have called is not accepting calls at this time..." This number just got blocked! ;-)

If you have an iPhone 6, you go to "Recents" and you will see a list. Click the "i" in a circle on the right of the unwanted phone number and that unwanted number will come up on another screen. Scroll down to the bottom of that screen and you will see "Block this Caller." Hit "Block this Caller" and that number will be blocked from calling you again.
