Thank you to everyone who has posted. IWork@KIRBY, we strongly encourage you to call our Consumer Relations Department at 800-494-8586 or email us at
[email protected]. It appears that you still may be a bit confused about the “Do Not Call” laws, and it is in your distributor’s best interest to have a complete understanding of the regulations. In your latest post, you mentioned that the office with which you work “call[s] people whose friends and family refer them for the free carpet shampoo.” You still have to scrub those telephone numbers (i.e., the referrals) against the “Do Not Call” list as those individuals never have given your distributorship express written permission to call. In other words, person “A” cannot give your distributorship permission to call person “B;” only person “B” can give you permission to call him/her. As I’m sure you’re aware, The Kirby Company requires its independent, authorized distributorships to operate legally and ethically, and it’s very important to ensure that your distributor is complying with all federal, state, and local laws. Again, please contact us so that we may address this matter appropriately. We appreciate your enthusiasm and want to help your distributor run the best business s/he can run.
