Got a call from this number today. A lady with a thick Arabic accent verifying the current car I drive and my policy, mentioning myself and my husband's name. Anyone knows how she has this information? Seems very schetch.
This number called 3 time in 6 minutes, 2 minutes apart. Nothing on the Caller ID.
Called the number back, Automated Answering Menu greets as the "Insurance Service Center" then goes into the typical English / Spanish / Swahili etc B.S.
Pressed #1 for English, then the next prompt asks "If I have a touch tone phone and the number listed in the gray section on the envelope I received"....I just waited and waited and finally some cube-rat comes on the phone...and after a few second blast of Nyan Cat, he hung up.
Sounds like out and out B.S / Phishing to me. I mean, "Insurance Service Center" is a pretty wide area to cover, and it definately reeks of scam to me.
I missed a call from this today, and left me a voice message. They know the car I drive, and ask me to call 18668014405 or visit their website insuranceservicecenter.com
The only phone call we received today. This is the insurance service center for Capital One Auto Finance. We just purchased a car and they needed a current proof of insurance for it. I called and talked to them. Its legit.
Someone called twice in four minutes on my cell phone asking for Damian someone. I told them both times they had the wrong number. I don't have unlimited calls on my cell phone, so this may end up costing me $$.
