Got 3 calls from this number today. Thought it was about a skin care product I had ordered earlier and sent an e-mail to inquiring about something. He wanted my address. I told him it was on the receipt. He kept asking for it so I hung up and will block number.
That's what happened to me. It was an Amazon email that I could win a selection item for free if I took a survey. Lots of positive testimonials on doing it, so I picked one. After finding out there was a shipping charge, I canceled it. The phone call came almost immediately!
It will not be much longer as fraudulent solicitors have screwed themselves & reputable ones as well. Coming soon a bill in the works will be passed that requires all "Out of USA" callers to unmask their identity & spoofing will no longer work as technology will auto sync callers ID from the grid being calling from, no match-no call. If fraudulent solicitors are calling from within USA, much easier to track down & prosecute under FTC consumer fraud protection laws. Overseas callers get away with it as FBI & FTC has no jurisdiction in another country unless granted.
Have patience, the hammer
that's not even how caller ID works...please don't talk unless you know what you're talking about. due to the nature of how caller ID is gathered it can always be spoofed
