company called and said they were calling about our 941's that were filed last week. What liar's we did not file any last week. That is a scare tactic. I cant believe that people do this. It makes me so mad that I want to call them back but I wont , because I don't need this stress. they said they were with the Pheonix Group. I know why they are calling, I had a tax lien field against my company, they want me to pay about 6,000 to "settle" my $13,000 in tax debt. Well if I had 6K I would not have a tax lien, now would I. I have several company's calling me like this, but never one that outright lied and said they are calling about my 941's that I field last week, what a joke..
Very rude kept asking the business owner was available. I said I was one of the owners, he kept asking if "he" was available. I hung up and he called back several times and kept hanging up
Received a message that James Sleeger called me and left this number to call him back. Once I did, he informed me that he is from the Phoenix Group and was calling to "Help with the tax lien" that was placed on me. He kept asking, "How much taxes are they saying you owe?" I told him, he should tell me what I owe (I actually don't owe any, which you will see @ the end). I then asked him if he knew what kind of business he had called. He said he did not know. I formed him he called a tax office, of which I was the owner. The IRS & the FTB in California do not allow you to file taxes for clients, if you owe taxes. I informed him I would lose my ability to file for clients if I owed taxes. He said he did not know that. I then called him a liar and a scammer, and he hung up on me.
