I'd also like to encourage people to take a few minutes and report these robo calls. There's several steps you can take:
File a complaint with the FTC: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
Look up the carrier (Spokeo is usually good. Enter the number and the carrier info is usually the ONLY info they give you for free): http://www.spokeo.com/
In this case the carrier is Verizon Wireless, and you can report a phishing scam by calling (800)922-0204 or by emailing the information to:
[email protected]
These guys get punished hard when they get caught and if you're like me, and that thought makes you happy, you'll feel real good about playing a small but vital role in their capture.
