Interesting to hear that it's CSU calling. I'm an alumni, but graduated 15 years ago and there is no way for them to have this phone number. I don't live in Colorado anymore, and it's an unlisted cell.
I was also not thrilled that they called at almost 9:45pm (my phone is registered in the same time zone that I live, so it's not a matter of living on the East coast with a West coast number in this instance).
A current students called and told me about some great updates going on on campus, asked me about what it was like when I was there, my teachers, etc. We talked for a while, she made sure my contact info was up to date, then she told me about some programs they are promoting and asked if I could help them out with a donation, but if not she said she still appreciates me taking the time to talk to her. So I decided to give them $500 towards a scholarship fund towards students who have very high financial need. It will be a painfull few months to make that back, but the students need it more than I do. They were so nice on the call and CSU did so much for me when I was there, still paying off my loans, but the education was priceless.
They called and left a message thanking me for a donation I made a few months ago, and asked me to call them back if I want some free football tickets. Awesome!
