Received call from 970-568-5208. caller id indicated Fort Collins, Colorado. Woman calling knew name of our Medical Clinic and our Doctor. she wanted to ask general questions regarding our level of satisfaction with the Doctor and the Clinic and if would recommend others. the Survey lasted about 10 minutes. Either the Clinic is looking for feedback from patients in an effort to improve their service or the Doctor himself needed an independent evaluation based on patient satisfaction levels. I did not suspect this was a scam just a company hired out of state to conduct surveys. looking at others input on this page they must hire out for insurance companys (USAA) as well. Nothing sinister here.....
Why the heck don't you just answer your call, or return the call when you get a chance? I missed this call and when I dialed this number back after missing the call, 970-568-5208, I got a pre-recorded message informing me I had reached a number that does not accept incoming calls. The recorded message carried on to say that if we got their number frmo our caller ID, it means we were called as part of a researxh study conducted over the telephone. That they are nto selling anything, they just want our opinion. If you don't answer they will continue every so many days to call you back. I suppose that eventually they will stop calling you at some point after not getting you to answer. I think it is annoying not to know what they are calling about, how they got your cell phone number and why they are calling. I don't particularly care for these calls over the phone and I never signed up for any type of 'service' volunteereing myself as a random survey taker. At any rate, you could choose never to answer the calls or you could answer and wait for a live person to ask that you be removed. If this is truly their job - to call people for random surveys, and I think it is, then just be kind and ask them to remove your number from their list. Anyway, I googled their number to see what I could find about this business by their phone number, but only found this type of information about who called you from such and such a number.
They are not bound by the Do Not Call Registry because they are not selling anything or soliciting you in any way. They are simply conducting a phone survey. You don't have to answer and/or you can answer and then ask them to remove your number from their lists. It's as simple as that.
Also, if I ever receive a call from a number I don't recognize, I do not let them ask me what my name is. I turn that around asking whom they are3 and what do they want. If they get uppity or huffy I end the call asking them never to call this number again. It's your number, stop hiding behind it.
It is automated calling, and when their system can see that a call was answered they pick up on it. It does not leave messages on answering machines or voice mails. They are a 3rd party company hired by business to call and take survey's. Therefore, my call could be pertaining to something altogether different than your call. And we don't all speak to the same person. It would be nice if they would leave a message, but they aren't equipped to take incoming calls. They make outgoing calls and they try maybe 1 or 2 calls every so many days, then they eventually give up. If one does not wish to answer, or continues to miss their calls, and if lacking the call block feature, maybe you can add their number to your address book as 'annoying unknown caller' so you know not to answer if it is that bothersome to just answer and request your number be removed form further calling, or just take the survey.
