Tempting as it might be (and I'm sure you're joking), don't. There was a case about this and the employee whose ears were permanently damaged won the lawsuit.
This number called me today and asked for the owner of the business by name. When I asked what it was regarding she said "I'm from the Petra (Patrick?) Group". Then I asked again what it was regarding and she said it was for a listing we have with Google. I said we don't have a listing with Google and we are not interested in listing anything with Google. She said "I'm not from Google (chuckle)" then hung up. What a B**CH. If you get a call from this place ignore it or hang up, it's a waste of precious time.
The Petra Group is a cold-calling telemarketer whose goal is to get more customers to your door when google is used, using boiler-room robocallers based in Portland, OR. Even google's own reviews call The Petra Group "a complete scam run by a bunch of clowns". By answering the phone, you have confirmed you have a working number that can be added to their telemarketing lists for sale. By stating the person requested is you, or not available, you have confirmed a specific name is at that number, adding further value to their telemarketing lists for sale. Just by picking up a ringing phone you are throwing away money unless you take control. If you do pick up, be prepared to blow the whistle or hit the # key repeatedly. Otherwise, completely ignore their questions and ask the telemarketers, who are required by law to answer each question: What is your name? What is the name and address of the company you represent? Do you work for google or a telemarketing firm? What is your company's phone number? Please put my number on your DNC list. Ask whether they make calls for any other companies. If yes, ask them not to call you on behalf of any entity. Of course, some cold-callers will have long ago hung up on you, but if the caller is still there, keep control, tell them "We don't do business over the phone", thank them for their time, or whatever, and hang up. Under no circumstances, never, ever, answer a question. If you do, it will cost you time and money. If you can, don't just answer "hello". Instead, use military/police jargon like "NORAD Squad 6" or "District Attorney's Office". You should hear the familiar "click".
Unfortunately, all companies have bad reviews. Just do a search for bank of america or something. The truth is, the Petra Group is a great company with a great product. Unfortunately, when you get to a notable size in business, bad reviews will come along. However, I will say, the Petra Group has over 10000 clients and with only 8 complaints, I can say they are doing a great job! Not to mention the google placements that they are able to accomplish!
It is unfortunate that all of you are writing badly about Petra! I have been with them for 8 months and have nothing but good to say! My business has grown exponentially as a result of their efforts! Thanks Petra!
