After receiving numerous calls from this number I finally "pressed 1" so I could speak to a person and demand they take me off their list. The line immediately disconnected. Not sure what the purpose is. Just annoying and uses my minutes!
Political calls, Charities and Legit Surveys are exempt as stated on the do not call website - info for consumers ( no - the free cruise is NOT free and its not a politcal survey at all. Just scammers using the loophole to rip people off )
they are NOT legit telemarketers making these calls - they are CROOKS out to steal money, indentity or worse. breaking do not call laws is MINOR compared to the FELONIES they are committing)
If I don't know the number, and it is out of my area code, I don't pay attention to whatever it is the caller is squaking about, because it will be a moron calling for sure, due to to piss poor economy, thank you corperate America. Instead of our dimwit government wasting money on whatever it is they are wasting money on at any/all times, it should hire as many phone interceptors that it takes to at least attempt to slow down the phone scammers. I am sure there a lot of folks fed up with scammers on the Internet as well as phone services (cell as well as landline) and some folks may be at their breaking point, to which may be the reason for some folks going postal, whether they are associated with mail service or not...
Called my cellphone. 2pm Central Time. This is the first time they've called from this number for me, I suppose they will now call my home, phone, business etc unless I block it.
