did a phone tracker trace on the number using http://www.freephonetracer.com/FCPT.aspx, came up with longitude/latitude:44.9510 -123.0155, then did a find by longitude/latitude using http://www.findlatitudeandlongitude.com/find- ... d-longitude.php, came up with an address 1455 NORWAY ST NE SALEM, OR 97301
This is the same "Card Member Services" that's been calling every week for the past month. The only information they'll give is that the person is "Tony". They refuse to give their company name or address. They refuse to give their real number.
I continue to tell them that I'm on the Do Not Call List, yet they continue to call, using a new phone number.
Here's how the conversation went:
This was a recorded message saying press 1 to speak to an operator or 3 to be removed. I pressed 1 and "Tony" came on the line.
He asked me to verify my phone number and I said it was the one he was calling. He said he needed it to proceed.
I asked for "Tony's"company name, saying I was afraid of identity theft. He said he'd give it to me after I told him my credit card information.
When I asked for his phone number (claiming my phone battery was running low), he said he couldn't give out that information.
I told him I'd go get my credit card and I let him sit for a few minutes. I then came back and told him I was on the FTC and State of FL Do Not Call list and I'd be reporting him so his company may face a fine and he may lose his job.
Just received a call from this #. Caller ID said 'lower interest'. I just hit talk and then hung up.
I don't even bother reporting the #'s to the DNCR anymore. Big freaking joke that is.
The number of these types of calls has increased and reporting these calls on the Federal Do Not Call website is a waste of time. The DNCR is another incompetent government run agency. What would happen if a large number of people started calling, faxing and emailing state senators with complaints? Could you imagine if 10,000 people would call these state senators every day until they got off their behinds and did sometime for a change!
