Just received a call from the same phone number. I didn't answer the phone because I was on another call but decided to google the phone number because I've been getting calls from a TN number that is trying to scam credit card information from me. Looks like this is another office that is being used..
They start off using a Dialer system to make the calls. That's why there is silence when you first answer the phone. Then it connects to a representative who will hang up on you if you start asking questions and/or state for them to remove you name off their call list. I've reported the TN number but continue to receive weekly phone calls. I'm now going to my cell phone provider to block both phone numbers. What a pain!
I just received a call from them and answered it. Nobody was there, then decided to check it out and got to this site. I don't plan on answering it the next time I see the number just to see if they leave a message which I don't think they will because it's not the first time I've received a call like this before.
Received a recorded message that I needed to press 1 because I am eligible for an interest rate reduction. I pressed 1 and the woman on the other end mumbled something and then started into a spiel. I asked her to stop for a moment and which of my credit card companies she was with. She said all of them which raised the red flag and I immediately told her I was not interested. She then got nasty and started raising her voice over me and telling me if I listened to her I could maybe learn something. Ended up hanging up on her because she wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise because she was too busy loudly spieling at me and implying I was stupid for not listening.
