Just received a call from 977 220-1967 (no name shown on caller ID). Same cruise-winning message as the call received Jan 17th from 971 220-1938 ("Gresham O" shown on called ID). And yes, we're on DNCR. And yes I too was heartily fed up with those message from Rachel et al from Credit Card Services!
Has anyone been able to trace where the calls are actually coming from? (It is an Oregon number but some organization has to be behind the calls.)
All - the reason the do not call list isn't working is because this is a scam. Pactel may be a legitimate company but the call isn't actually coming from them. People committing fraud don't generally follow government regulations.
Just missed a call by this number on my cell. The funny thing is that less than 10 minutes ago I also received another missed call on my cell from a weird number and after looking that number up it was also a telescammer. I wish these losers would either give up or call when I can have my phone when I don't have to have it on silent so I can harass them like they do us.
Why are these companies, and numerous others, allowed to continue calling individuals when we are on the DO NOT CALL LIST. Very annoying. I do not answer if there is no id as to name or if I do not recognize the name of the caller. Usually they do not leave a message which is all the more reason not to call them back.
