Same here. Fake number, fake name. Didn't leave a message (thank goodness). I never answer these calls as trying to stop them by whatever method just doesn't seem to work.
Panasonic and others have phones with call blocking available as a built-in feature. Ours blocks up to 30 numbers, plus any call that comes in with no caller ID. I've read that some other makers have phones like this available as well. They work great.
BTW, our AT&T service will only block some numbers and from within our area, which is to say, virtually nothing. Useless. The Panasonic phones will block ANY number.
Continually receive calls from this outfit.... I have tried all methods of stopping the calls.
The best thing I found was to try to get to a representative, and then ask them to ...
"Just let me get my credit card number" and then go out for a nice cup of coffee.
They will get the message.... I once had a guy wait 20 mins..... give it a try...
''CID says 'FINANCIAL CTR.' I had only received a call 5 min earlier from 360-474-3901-a spoofed scam number, and then this one called and I could hear a live person was on the phone but left no msg on my ans mach. I believe these two numbers are in cahoots. The last one who called, I believe, is a person who scouts out numbers to make sure they are in use, then turns them over to the robo caller, which in turn calls and tries to get your credit card info. No matter, as I have blocked them both. PS I've noticed I get calls where the phone only rings once, then the caller hangs up. These calls, I believe, are from humans who are verifying numbers to place on the robo callers. Then a few minutes later, or even a day later, the robo caller calls you. Such is my theory. News for them-I'm not old, not a fool, not gullible, and they will NEVER get one bit of info from me!
