Just got another call from these idiots. Decided to give them a dose of their own medicine. Kept caller (Becky) on line for almost 5 minutes pleading with her to help me get a lower interest rate. Then called her a "Sucker". (I got rid of all my credit cards years ago.) If enough of us make it too expensive to pull their scam, they'll move on..... unfortunately, probably to another scam. Since DNC list has become a farce, make it a time consuming waste to call me and maybe THEY will take me off their call list !!

The problem with filing a complaint to 'THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY" will not stop any calls, as they do absolutely nothing when you complain. I have filed over 1,007 complaints to the 'DO NOT CALL LIST", and they will not do anything to alleviate this ongoing telemarketer call (among the 1006 previous filings). If you take a moment to look at your phone bill, there are 'FEDERAL AND STATE TAXES' levied each and every month (that we as taxpayers fund the 'NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY", whether that be a land-line or cell phone. Also, note that filing a complaint will only increase the amount of telemarketers, as this 'FEDERAL AGENCY' gives out your phone numbers! This is your 'GOVERNMENT ' in action. We the people are the 'GOVERNMENT', however, Congress thinks otherwise, and creates the "NATIONAL DO NOT CALL"!

Credit card scam - I answered on Saturday the 14th, just after noon. I reported the number to "do not call", registry and encourage everyone to do the same. If the registry is of any use at all, multiple complaints about one number should be heard.

When I get calls like this from a live caller, if it's a man I will ask him if his mother's ***** smells like fish.  If it's a woman, I ask her if her ***** smells like fish.  They usually hang right up or say something like "there's no reason to be rude or use that kind of language".  I respond with "it's rude for you to robocall people".  Then, with a smile on my face from knowing they will remember calling me,   I block their number.

A solution that works 100% of the time:  Don't answer the phone when caller ID doesn't give you an ID that you know.

I've never answered one of these calls - look up at the previous posts and you'll see why.  When you do, and you ask them to delete your phone number, they either tell you no or they tell you yes and then call you back!

I've been getting calls from these yahoos for years and, gradually over the years, they've gotten less and less frequent.  I don't get calls from them several times a day like many of you do or like I used to get from them.  The reason why is that no one ever answers their calls here!

Ansewring the phone is like answering the door.  It lets the caller know that 'someone is home at this number/address.'  If no one is never home, eventually they go away.
