There can't possibly be anyone left who hasn't heard about this scam. I can't believe anyone is wasting their time trying to use it. My consolation is thinking that, if they're paying people to do this, they're quickly going to go bankrupt!
First time they called about my computer and said they needed access to my computer and that they owe me a refund of $200 from a year ago. They wouldn't tell me what the refund was for. When I didn't give the info they wanted they cussed me out. It's been months when they last called and call today from this number and wouldn't say anything. This is ridiculous
I had not heard of this scam. Got a call a little while ago. Here's the funny part - woman with heavy accent asked about my pc computer (who says that anymore) but we are Apple users. Yeah, they know us real well. Not!
while online browsing received an error message - numerous pops up stating computer had a virus and I needed to call before I closed out or shut down or all my information would be hacked- did not write down the number - just closed out. Several hours later had a message on answering machine from this number - appears to be PC Geeks - only said hello several times and did not leave any further info. Trolls.
