8 calls in 7 days, I don't answer numbers I don't know, especially out of area code. Not once has this number left a message, if it was ligit I'd think they would leave a message.
I've blocked this number (thank God for blocking apps!), but I have it set so that I can see when/how often blocked numbers call my phone. I recently moved and set up my Comcast services to transfer, and this number now calls my cell phone incessantly every day. It makes me want to change my phone number, but I've had my number forever, so I'll just continue to block it, I guess. From the sounds of the other reviews, it sounds like this is a SCAM, anyway.
I received a call each nite about 8pm and TONIGHT just before 7pm so I answered and they said nothing
thought it might be a robocall
so I called it back from a burner phone and it played the message "person is on the phone ... pls leave a message"
advising them all calls are being monitored as part of a homicide investigation with ties to Texas
Caller had a South Asian accent and a very fake "American" name. He claimed to be from Comcast and was trying to "upgrade" me to some exorbitantly priced voice service, yet could not provide a call back number, claiming his call center was for outbound calls only. He couldn't provide Comcast's main number ?!? FISHY! Hope he doesn't call back, but I'm not holding my breath.
