I got a call from this company saying I was being taken to court for a civil summons over a loan someone tookout in my name to a bank in tTexas. What the crap I'm in sc. I don't even have a checking acct. Then when I told the man it wasn't me he called me a lyier and said he would see me in court and that if I showed up for court he'd make his lawyers go for the maximum amount of 5000 dollars . When the supposed loan was for 200 dollars. People need to quit trying to intimidate people. Especially when those people are 6 months pregnant. Total bullcrap.
I received the same phone call, again from a Lauren Blake, telling me she was from an Elite Process Service, she even gave me the name of the county I currently live in saying she was calling on behalf of the county. She told me that the only address she had for me was a work address, and that if I didn't want to be served at my place of work I needed to call her back immediately because it was an extremely time sensitive issue.
Same call about my mom. Trying to say they were going to deliver papers to her work and how embarrasing that would be...they were trying to "save her" from the embarrassment. Craziness.
Same thing, same person, same script. Glad to have confirmation from others that this is a scam. We figured it was a scam, just like reading that others came to the same conclusion. Just angry we have to deal with these parasites. Angry that you all had to endure the same.Will file complaint with our local sheriff.
These people got my father in-laws number and he called me in a panic. I've been getting these calls for about 2 years now from different numbers. I just filed a complaint with the cfpb and will file with the ftc if this continues. For now, I block the number
I received a call from this number yesterday. I lady namef Lauran Blake left a voicemail saying she worked for Elite Processing services and she had a civil summons she needed to service me with by Wed. She asked me to call her back because it was scheduled to be served at my work place. She was very official so I called back. She even gave me a docket number. When I called her back, she said the company authorizing the summons was SCM and associates. When I told her I had no knowledge of them, she transferred me. I talked to one man and he transferred me to someone named Nick Casper who claimed I owed a payday loan from 201. He wanted me to pay $193.00 for 5 months. I told him I wanted to be given the summons since I had no knowledge of this. He told me he would email me the legal documents so I could see them and then make up my mind. I never received them. I also called the county court, and they had no knowledge of this. They told me not to pay a dime and to be careful!!! I get these calls quite a bit, but these people were very professional and polite that I almost fell for it! Something really needs to be done to stop these people from preying on innocent people.
