I just got this email. I opened the email, but did not call the number or reply to the email. The Area code not being local for me is what told me something was not right with this. PLus the fact its June. Why would they need to fill a gift wrapper position. Plus I never applied with JCPennys. They had to get the resume from Monster.com or the Job connect website here in Vegas. Only 2 places i uploaded one. Can they steal my info just from reading the email ??

Thank you so much for posting this!!!
I've been unemployed and searching for work through unemployment. I have my resume on many job boards and I believe thats how they're getting our information. The man attached a real application and everything for me to fill out and I only found this link because I was trying to figure out where this JCP was to see if it was a feasible drive for me.
I am so grateful that people have posted this info on here to help protect others!
I truly thank you. I was about to fill out all of the information and send it in when I stumbled upon this site.
I have been unemployed for over 7 months now and am a mother of 5. We have no money and are really struggling. This is the last thing we need!!
THANK YOU for sharing your experience and helping others!!!! You just saved me from making a huge mistake!

depends, some emails may contain malicious code. if you have that info stored on your pc then yes, provided your not properly protected.  most of you on here are unemployed. so heres some freebies.
malwarebytes anti malware, for killing spyware so good it shouldnt be free.
microsoft security essentials.  for killing virus related stuff.
dont open emails you dont recognize.  if you get an email from a domain name like jcpennycareer.net, look it up, its obviously a scam, jc pennys website is jcpenny.COM.   same is true with other scam emails like scam paypal emails, if you roll your mouse over the links it will show you what website the image is saved on, and it is not paypal.com.
