I did get an e-mail from someone also offering me the same job so I see it's just a scam but however I did send my cell phone number boy I feel like a dumb AZZ .
Same person .....
I just received this message, it didn't seem professional so I assumed it was a scam. I have my resume on monster.com. I'm assuming. That's where the scammer is getting the information.
"I would like to offer you the Gift Wrapper position (full-time or part-time). If you're interested let me know.
Good chance this is part of the "mystery shopper" scam. You will either (1) receive "gifts" at home that you will wrap & ship, usually out of the country (2) Be given a list of items that you will buy, wrap & ship. Either way it usually ends up with you getting a bum check to deposit, & then you spend your money. It also involves the scammers sending illegal goods (bought with credit cards) to YOUR house. Guess who gets it in the neck?. Also, let's get real here. $1500. a month to wrap gifts? In June?
