I have made it a practice to treat ANY and ALL calls from unfamiliar sources as a potential scam. I believe such calls could be greatly reduced if more people became familiar with the classic warning signs.

I agree.  I am an older citizen and learned early on, after retiring, not to trust, if I don't recognize caller.

My mother is a senior and I am glad that she makes it a practice to ignore calls from numbers that she doesn't recognize.
