This is such a scam. I should have known better. Got a call from Rachel (no last name) to meet with an executive about a job. Went in and met with Nick. This guy was one of the most arrogant sleazy people I have ever met. After asking me a bunch of questions he then tells me that they can find me a job for about $14,000. Half is due after my second evaluation and then the other half he says they often recoup from the company that eventually hires you. He made it seem like I was inconveniencing him - I wanted to say you called me jerk - I did not call you. Then he had the gall to make me read a document in front of him that basically says if I am not serious about letting him find me a job to get the heck out of there. What a complete waste of time. I almost could not believe it. I could not get out of there fast enough. I have a job already and really did not need this hassle. Stay far away from this place!!

Yep, they called me too.  Left two messages two different days and I couldn't tell either time what she said her name or company was.  They must have to practice that, as I listened to it over and over and the name was indistinguishable but everything else she said was very clear.  She wanted me to call her back at 972-386-7171.

I finally did, just out of curiosity. She was vague about their company, said they are an executive search firm.  I asked for their website and she finally gave me www.dallastx-jobs.com.  She said she has my resume.  I told her that I've not posted my resume on any of the sites (including linked in) so I questioned where she got it.  She said that one of her leads gave it to her and she is not sure which website he got it from.  I too smelled a rat.

I told her that I had no interest in anyone wanting to 'help' me with my job search by trying to rewrite my resume and help me with interviewing skills.  I have 20+ years as an executive and don't need this, let alone pay someone to give me weak services.  I've seen these scams before - like Allen and Associates...don't know if they are around any more.

Beware everyone - just stay away from them.  I told Chasity to take my name off their list.

Seems now "Amber N." is now the "Exec Admin"...the pitch was laughable. Here is the "Job Description" sent...How could I not drop everything to talk about a mystery role for a mystery job search I am not conducting...I mean..I am a perfect fit...the TOP CEO said so...

Good afternoon,
Per your request, I am sending you this email with some more information about our company and the services we provide to professionals and executives who are in a career transition.
Whether you find yourself currently in a career transition by force or by choice, we may be able to assist you in identifying and securing your ideal position. It is also possible that you may simply want to learn how to move up within your industry or find a new industry that would allow you to use your specific skills and attributes to their fullest.
We work with the client to implement a detailed outline designed to give them the tools that can help them obtain the best possible position with the greatest job satisfaction. Our methods can help get you past the gatekeepers and in front of the right people even if it seems there are no openings.
To get started, we typically set up a preliminary meeting at our office. The meeting is designed to develop a better understanding of the direction you would like to go with your career and how you define your ideal position. We will review with you your skills and accomplishments and assess how we will specifically help you achieve your next career move.  This is also a time for you to get to know us. Together, we will put together a strategy that will enable you to attain the career that will utilize your specific talents and give you the benefits you deserve.

I hope this information has been helpful. If and when you would like to schedule a preliminary and exploratory meeting, please feel free to respond to my email or give me a call and I will be happy to accommodate your schedule as we look forward to speaking with you further. We have some time available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. A first meeting typically lasts approximately 30-45 minutes and if for nothing else, it is a great way to expand your network as we are extremely well connected among decision makers in the Dallas market. We are located at 635 and the Dallas N. Tollway. Even if you do not choose to move forward with us, one of our executives will be able to provide you with some great information, resources and guidance that will benefit you in your career search. Thank you for your time and interest. I hope you have a great day. I will look forward to hearing from you soon!

Fees Question:
In regard to your question about cost; we do not know if there will be a fee, how much or who may be responsible for a cost until we have had the mentioned preliminary meeting to determine more about what your needs are and which direction you are hoping to take your career. Any and all fees are completely determined by an individual’s unique needs and circumstances and it is possible that the hiring company may take on a cost should there be one. It is always our ultimate goal to help find a company that will off-set a cost in the very least. There are no fees, cost incurred or commitment to move forward after an initial meeting or two. Regardless of if either party decides not to move forward, one of my executives will still provide you with some information, resources and guidance that will benefit you in your search.

Please feel free to visit our website: www.dallastx-jobs.com
Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you.
