Our business got a call today saying he was "Jim" from centrylink. He's not trying to sell anything but our contract was almost up and wanted to get us a better monthly rate buy bundling. I said thanks but were ok and hung up. He called BACK and asked for the owner (by name), I put him on the phone. The owner said didn't you just talk to Lori? He said yes but she hung up on me. The owner asked if he worked for centrylink and "Jim" said no but they hired us.... blabla bla, The boss said he was going to hang up too... the guy yells well we'll just keep calling back! All my instincts told me it was a scam or phishing for something, I called centrylink and they told me there was no record of them calling us and she felt they were not "on the up and up".
Unsolicited call from "Onvisouce" My rule: if they don'[t leave a message they get added to the blocked caller list. Besides, from a Google search they're selling something and I don't want it.
Someone named Paul calling from Business Solutions Group, would not stop talking even when I told him repeatedly we are not interested. Said, "I'll call back" as I was hanging up on him.
Trying to tell us we could get discounts on our business phone bill. I have gotten numerous calls on this from various numbers all saying the same thing, had to hang up on the last one when I tried to say I wasn't interested.
A bit pushy. Pretended to be my phone provider. Told me that they would help me save some money by bundling all of my services (yeah, because we don't already do that, right???)... then she asked me for all of my personal information. OK, so if you're my provider, why wouldn't you already have that information. Gave her the number for the attorney general and told her that they handle all of my phone service inquiries.
She claimed to be from Centurylink, and that she needed to verify our information in order to continue getting our 20% discount. When I said, if you are form Centurylink, you already know our # and how many lines we have. Then she said, well, our records show there is a woman as the main contact. I said I AM a woman, I just have a deep voice!! Wow, how creepy to get these phone calls. I had to hang up.
