Received a call this morning from a woman stating that she wanted to discuss a TXU account matter with my spouse. I told we had not had an account with TXU for 15 years or more. Told her to send a letter about this matter. She stated she could not do that. I told her if this call was legit then a letter should have been sent or could be sent. She still insisted that she needed to talk to my spouse and in order for me to find out more, I had to give my name and soc. security. Told her she must be crazy to think I would do that and to take my spouse off her scam list. If this is a real representative of TXU then she needs to be fired for her aggressive, evasive demeanor - not a good public relations move on TXU's part! FYI: There was a big identity thief ring several years ago that was based in and busted in Carrollton. It included other states too. Maybe there are some remnants of that still operating or back in operation again.
They called but left no message. I'm not past due but recently changed electric service to get a better rate. TXU called the other day and already told me they couldn't beat the rate I found with another company.
The caller id reads; EFH They never leave a message. Now when they get my answering machine this is what they hear.
"Hello. You've reached the office of "No One Lives Here Anymore". So if you would like to leave your name, number and a brief message it will be pointless because "No One" will return your call. And you make it a great day.
I looked up EFH in area code 972 and it appears to be Energy Future Holdings in Dallas. Their companies include TXU, Luminant and Oncor. http://www.energyfutureholdings.com/about/businesses/default.aspx
