I received the same postcard from "Mrs. Carter" in the mail as well. I honestly thought it was a card from my Home Owners association, so I called. They offered me either $500.00 in coupons or a vacation. I choose the coupons and was told they will be sending them out today. Now that I've read all these posts, I hope nothing happens. I would hate for my new house to be broken into (because they asked how many people lived in the home). AHHH!!!
Any communication received by US mail that seems fraudulent should be turned over to the post office with a request that the postal inspector look at it. Seems like mail fraud to me.
We entered as drawing at the State Fair in Home Depot's booth. They called & left a message saying we won a $200 gift card @ H.D.. When I called back the operator said no I had not won the $200, but I would receive a free water analysis & a $10 restaurant gift certificate for 45 minutes of time by my wife & I. This is a terrible promotion & HD should be ashamed of aiding & abetting this activity.
