Preston Harris of Grand Companies called and said he was following up on a previous conversation he had with the owner. Owner says he never spoke with this guy in the first place. Gave a different call back number than the one he called from (214)384-4525. researched both numbers and Grand Energy kept coming up for this number. Also known as Grand Operating, Inc. Does he not know what his company's name is? Probably looking for investors.
I too have been receiving this annoying call from 972-788-2080. Everyday I tell this person my boss is in a meeting. I will continue to do so until you go away. "'Just' secretaries or assistants"? We are the gate keepers to our executives, and we deflect sales pitch calls at all costs. I believe your post is written by the one and only Preston at Grand Companies. Nice try. Psst, a bit of advice. Next time you call, try speaking to the assistants with a bit of respect, but we still won't let you anywhere near our Execs.
I had the pleasure of a first time call from Rob Rice... when they ask for my CEO by first name like they're old high school pals I just know it's a scammy cold caller. I might "just" be a Receptionist but I'm a damn good one! I don't even have to hear you speak more than 2 words to know whether you are a cold caller or not. You all have the SAME spiel every single time.
We are not "Just ReceptionistS/Adminstrative Assistants". We are the watch dogs of our companies and the first line of defense for our bosses. It is our job. And personally, I enjoy not letting thru scammers, cold call telemarketers who do not even have updated information. Be polite and we will be polite. Be forthcoming with information, or you will be considered a scam company and will be treated as such.
