Candy, unfortunately, companies you do business with like bills you pay, credit cards, etc & any place you buy things & have to give your name, address & phone number out to like buying from companies on the Internet, well, they can & do sell list with people's name, address & phone number. Unfortunately thousands of scum of the earth people, crooks, scammers & anyone trying to rip people off & steal their identity, will buy these list. Also, they get names & numbers out of phone books for people who still have home phones. So the only way you can stop 99.9% of these calls is to get a call blocker machine for your home if you have a home number & for a cell phone, ask your cell provider if their is a call blocker on your cell & if not, ask if they know what is the best call blocker for cell phones that you could download from the Internet to have on your cell.
If you are on the governments no call list, well, don't rely on that. It is only good for companies who abide by the law & who actually check phone numbers against the no call list. Bad people like crooks & scammers etc., they don't care about the law & will call you regardless of the laws are here in the United States. These crooks & scammers also do this all over the world so we aren't the only country this is happening in. Those other countries can't stop them anymore than the U.S. government can, so you have to try to find out for yourself about how to protect yourself from these people as far as getting so many phone calls everyday.
I have this same problem but was getting dozens of scammer calls, robo calls, etc. Then one day I went on the Internet & looked around for a good deal on a call blocker machine. Also, buy from a well know company & not some fly by night company. I learned the hard way when some years ago I purchased a product on the Internet from a website because it was the cheapest I found anywhere, even in the stores, but when I got it, it was a product that didn't work right from the start. It took me 2 years fighting this company due to the fact it was coming from overseas just to get part of my money back. They used a phone number that was a U.S. number but connected to an overseas number. I had used a credit card & had to end up cancelling that credit card as they were adding fees to my card saying I still owed then the other half back, even after they refunded me half my money. They were trying to get their money back in a crooked legal type of way. I had to pay the fee as the credit card company had already paid the company & I was obligated to pay the credit card company. The credit card company blocked that website from charging anything else on my card, so I paid off the credit card company & they cancelled that card.
So you need to be real careful about who you buy from on the Internet if you buy things off the Internet. You may pay a couple of dollars more at a well know company, but remember the bad people can & will scam you & cost you hundreds to thousands more.
Received a call from a man by the name of "Mark" from Pacific Online Pharmacy. Stated that his company has a promotion of 15% off my current medication(s). Since I knew this was a bogus call, I kept asking him questions. Q: Where is your company located? A: Orange County CA. Q: Could you tell me your call back #: A: 561-922-9224. Q: Could you let me know what medication you have on file for me? After hearing him shuffle some things around.... A: Gave me incorrect information: Q. Please let me know how you got my information?....Dead silence... he hung up on me
got a call from 9729229224 asking me if I wanted to refill my medicine with some random pharmacy name. I called back it was a non working number, they called asking for me with my maiden name. The more questions I asked he immediately hung up. SCAM
