Boiler room telemarketer. Caller identified herself as being with the Children's Wish Foundation, and was soliciting donations. I am sure they call for other "charities."
after saying hello, some lady said who is this. i said who are you, she gave her name, which i quickly forgot and said she wanted to talk to my wife, is she available, i said no, she hung up.
I have gotten several calls from this number. It comes in as 'Out of Area' on my called ID, so I don't bother picking up.
No message is ever left.
Very annoying. I suggest reporting them to: www.donotcall.gov
and let them deal with it.
Or you can just pick up and leave the phone off the hook for a brief period of time. Then hang up.
Might as well frustrate them as much as they frustrate us.
My caller ID shows calls from Luthersville, GA, Chicago, IL, & Rockwall, TX. (There are a couple others but they haven't shown up yet, My residence is in none of those states.) They are all for the Childrens Wish Foundation International. I have donated in the past; it must be time to run the cycle of donation requests again.
