We keep getting calls from this number and no one is on the other line. At the same time, we received a call from the same number, and a person with an East Indian accent said he was Chris Rappaport calling from UPS, with a call number #40849760301. He said he had a package from a person who does not work at our company. We never heard of this person.
Claimed to be FedEx. I transferred them over to our mailroom instead. Then they called again (with the exact same operator with thick accent) saying they were from B2B. It's spam. They will probably deny it, but they can't produce evidence that they are anything by spam and a phishing scam.
A man from 973-273-4166 - Caller ID showed up as Newark NJ called the office I work for and asked for me by name. Told the receiptionist he was from FedEx and needed to verify my mailing address. I asked him who the package was from. I had a very hard time understanding him with his heavy accent. Told him I didn't know anything about it. Never verified my address that he had. It creeped me out. He said okay, he would do some further verification. I am sure if he had been from FedEx it would have shown FedEx on my caller ID. That is what made me think something was bogus.
A man called initially from this number said he was from B2B, asked for my Owner stating had a package, could tell by background that it was telemarketer, so I hung up, then a woman called back from the same 973-273-4166. I hung up on her. Then they called back again and I put the phone down and let them talk, they called back 9 times......
man with middle eastern accent, could barely make out his name as he said it too fast. Said he was with "B2B" and has a letter to send to us. wanted to confirm our address etc. Just hung up.
