Guess what, they called again, no message and "All Circuits are busy" when I called back!?!?!? No response from Slim, I guess I hurt his feelings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First - Slim has nothing to do with this. So, I don't understand you beef with him. He's just commenting that posting "Stop calling" here in this forum is pretty pointless.
I've gotten a few calls from this number, and it seems it's from Task Everyday (http://www.taskseveryday.com/). They've ask for someone at the business, but would be very unusual to call at the number they are calling. Said they were "returning a call", but 1) person wouldn't have dealt with them (that would be a different group and 2) would have called at their number not this one. Every time I've tried to talk to them, the call disconnects while they are talking. A couple of times I've gotten the Asterisk lady saying "Goodbye". So their VoIP system really doesn't work very well. They are very hard to understand, which is why I haven't posted about it before (hard to clearly hear company name, and the unreliable VoIP connection). Deceptively suggesting a return call/prior interest where there is none is not a way to get my business.
Task Everyday appears to be an India-based company that does various contract work/out-sourcing (bookkeeping, virtual assistance, etc).
TormentingTelemarketers.........Say what you want, then why do these clowns not ring through my TX after the message, their circuits are always busy and I am on the Federal & Indiana NO CALL LIST but it does not stop these rectal openings calling me 3 times a day. Say what you want but I think all Americans are tired of this CRAP, especially from Sub-Continent Asia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not saying these people are fine up-standing citizens or anything. I'm just posting information about who these people actually are - something you should appreciate since it seems it's more information than you have now.
Yes, like typical telemarketers, the phone number you see on your Caller-ID is an outbound only number (or at least reports circuits are busy/etc) and one reason why I never bother calling back telemarketers at the number showing there. However, had you gone to the web site where they are located, they have provided a toll free number where you can vent at them at your hearts content - rather than disparage the people here that are trying to give you as much helpful information (for free!) as we have.
In my case, it is a business line, so the Federal DNC doesn't apply. They also didn't use a robocall, and (tried, if their VoIP wasn't so crappy) to provide their business name. So at least in my case, I don't see an actionable violation.
Tasks Everyday Toll Free Number: 1-888-670-4882 <------ vent at this number, not 973-321-3887. You're Welcome.
Also, file a complaint with the FTC and include this information about the company name, web site, physical location from the web site (they list a San Francisco address). Adding this information will make it easier for the FTC to do something (although not being part of the Federal Government, I can't give you any clue as to when they will), rather just the phone number alone.
I understand your frustration, however people on this site (like Slim and myself) are actually trying to help you out here and have nothing to do with any of these telemarketers.
