I got this call today.
The guy was from Pakistan. He said I owed back taxes. I know I dont. He said his name was Jim Faulkner. He hung up when I asked him more questions. I called back. A lady picked up, said her name was Lisa from IRS. Again Pakistani accent. When I asked where in Pakistan are they based. She hung up.
Same as most others, a man with a heavy accent claiming to be officer John O'Brien from the IRS tells me my address is under federal investigation. There was no mention of my name or any other identifying information, and he left two identical messages in the same day.
