Same here with a robot call saying the same as in the comments above. I would just like to say they are trying to scam here in Wisconsin as well. Plus they also called for me on my girlfriends phone. Weird why not call my phone? Idiots
Robocall scammer threatening legal action yet again. Must be the time of year that brings out these idiots. Pretty much the standard "call us back or we'll show up at your home or work" deal... but if you're under real litigation there's no plea bargaining, no way to buy your way out... they will just show up at your door with papers. So take heart searcher, this is fake. You can relax and just put them on call block... or hell, sign up for the National Do Not Call List and report them when they keep calling. I did.
Robcaller with a message for my husband, saying he will be actively pursued at his work site and at home. Case number was inserted into the existing message. Huge scam because they called me and not him. If there was litigation, wouldn't they have his number?
So I missed a call from a number that registered as 928-272-8160, that was a robo message with a real person plugging in another number for you to call back which is 978-856-8291 and then they reference a bogus case number. When I called the number back They claim to be National Information Center. Jennifer Rice answered. She started by saying there was a verification meeting for my Case at 4 pm today and told me my case was in pre- legal status (not a real thing btw) she then decided that I wasn't freaking out enough so she hung up on me. These scammers are so stupid, they call anyone and spew stupid half [***] legal jargon, being a paralegal I know the law better than anyone and that's not how legal proceedings work. Not to mention every debt collector must under the law identify they they are attempting to collect a debt and information obtained will be used for that purpose. I have reported this number to the Ohio Attorney General and the FBI.
Got a call from this number stating they would come to my house or place of business. Robot voice with a case number saying they found me and it was too late to do anything. I have reported issues like this to the Louisiana Attorney General. Scammers!!
