Call from a man with a strong East Indian accent at 8 a.m., saying $600 had been withdrawn from my account in the last 15 minutes using a credit card, asking if we had made that withdrawal. When told we do not have a credit card with that institution changed it to debit card and started calling out the card #s to be "checked". He had the first few #s correct then hesitated and got the following # incorrect. When told that was not right he hung up.
This morning, I received a call from 1-979-221-4638. The person stated that he was working for RBC security and my Visa card was debited for $600 by a company in India at 4h15 am. I received the call at 4h40 am on November 2, 2015. He asked for my Visa numbers and he asked me to complete the other numbers for a verification. I told him “no” that I would call my bank and he hanged-up on me.
exact scenario happened to me!!!Hope RCMP kick thier [***]...terrible evil people...call your bank asap before doing anything and dont pick up the phone if you dont recognize the number..bank always leaves a message..
