Since when does a "pain relief center" wanna give me a free security system? I answered and first I got a recording how the FBI is indicating a lot of home break-ins. And then the recording said, if I would just allow a small sign in my front yard, I could have a free security system. So I let the guy give his spiel. I told him a legit business would not spoof their phone number. He pretended not to know what I was talking about. I told him what my Caller I.D. said. I called him a scammer. I hung up. I blocked the number.
The dr. and pain center's phone number has been spoofed...aka hijacked. The reason I know this is because I answered a call (on purpose so I could hear what scam it was). Well, the scammers calling had nothing to do with this dr. or his pain center. It was a call about home security systems, of all things. I stayed on the phone long enough to tell a real person (after the recording) that he was NOT for real. I asked him why in the world would a 'pain center' try to sell me a 'security system'. The guy got flustered. I hung up.
