i applied for a loan online and the next day i got a call from a loan officer named alex rodriguez, he said i was approved for up to 10,000 so i said i only needed 1500 and he keeps insisting to get the money in my account i need to first buy a greendot moneypak and load 140 on it to show that i can make the monthly payments, but now he wants me to buy a vanilla reload pack and load the same amount and call him with the numbers so he cn see that i put the 4 on it, he says he works for us cash advance, he has a very strong accent maybe Australian, and its not funny at all i really need the $, is this a scam?? he calls me quite often and has called my work now, has anyone else had this happen?
I received a phone call from John Smith, James Morgan, John Matthews, Mark Henley. The numbers used are 315-507-6118, 940-440-8478, and 209-789-5800. After getting a total of $500.00 they are still calling and attempting to get another $149.00 for the "loan processing fee". I have reported it to the attorney general in my state and also the police department in Utica, NY where the 315 number "appears" to be based out of. I also alerted Bank of America that there is someone out there posing as Bank of America loan officers. I also reported it as a cyber crime. This is a scam, scam, scam! People, please, please, do not fall for this! Also, please report to it to everyone that you can and get these people stopped
Beware these people have upped their game. I received a phone call today from Michael Green at 315-507-6118 telling me that he was "sorry" for the trouble but he was going to give me all my money back plus the original loan amount. I laughed and said "Yeah, and all I need to do is get a Vanilla Reload Network Card for 170.00!" He said no that is was not going to cost anything and that the money would arrive today in the form of a Green Dot Gold Visa Card. I asked how it was going to get all the way from the east coast to the west coast in a day and he told me UPS. I laughed, but played along with his game. He wanted to verify my address and I told him that was no longer correct as they stole my money and I couldn't pay my rent and was evicted. I gave him a bogus address. He then told me that I needed to take down the card number, the expiration date, and the security code and call the 1-866 number and activate it, establish a pin number and then call and give him the pin number..bahaha!! He asked to verify my social security number and record me doing so, I stated I would not do this and I hung up. Shortly thereafter my phone began blowing up with calls which I did not answer. I was left a voice message that lasted for about 1 minute just repeating "you mother-F*****, you a**hole". Yes, such professional behavior I am sure this company is for real, NOT!! People, again, please, please do not fall prey to these people. It is a scam, scam, scam!!! I am pretty sure that they get people to activate the card, take the money and then try to collect money for a loan payment that was never received. Report this please!!!
They told me they were from rapid cash and I needed to get a vanilla reload car and put 100 I did and they scamed me and took the money they call from 7272653431
In the United States, it is ILLEGAL to ask someone to pay a fee, loan installment, insurance, processing fee BEFORE the applicant gets the money! Do NOT fall for this! Once your money is loaded onto the card they ask you to buy, it's gone! You'll never get it back and you'll never see a penny of the "loan" they were offering you. In fact, you'll probably get more calls saying you're being charged with fraud and have to pay X amount for a loan you never even got.
Think about it - which legitimate and reputable lender cold calls people saying they're approved for a loan they haven't even applied for? Not a one!
