i applied for a loan online and the next day i got a call from a loan officer named alex rodriguez, he said i was approved for up to 10,000 so i said i only needed 1500 and he keeps insisting to get the money in my account i need to first buy a greendot moneypak and load 140 on it to show that i can make the monthly payments, but now he wants me to buy a vanilla reload pack and load the same amount and call him with the numbers so he cn see that i put the 4 on it, he says he works for us cash advance, he has a very strong accent maybe Australian, and its not funny at all i really need the $, is this a scam?? he calls me quite often and has called my work now, has anyone else had this happen?
I also was about o get scammed thank God I had common sense although I did go to CVS and Walgreens looking for the Vanilla reload card which did not exist. Then they told me to get a Net spend and so happen the lady told me a story of a lady who had bought one and could not get her money back. They did not want the card only the reload. I got skeptical and told them I would have to research them online because this was not normal. It was like they were trying to make me buy the card and kept reassuring me it was not a scam. Some other man with a strong accent from a different number kept saying the FDC FDC certified. Anyway they continued to call and I ignored them that was yesterday and this morning I got online and I find it is a scam. I do not have money to loose I am trying to get some money and no loan company has ever said anything like this I was skeptical and thankful for blogs. Yes the same thing is happening to me. I applied for loan online, atleast 20 different numbers from all over the USA responded. The one call I did take was Alabama (202) area code number. Guy with an accent name Kevin something. Promising me 6000 dollars. Said all I have do is establish credit by putting 182 dollars on a vanilla reload card. And they would transfer the money within 15 minutes. Well after reading your posts I will not folllow through with this process....... woooo!! THANKS
