Received this call along with several others today , most hang up when answer machine picks up. This one and anther with a different number had the same garbled voice mail about calling back.
The answering machine, for some reason, or perhaps there wasn't a name, only picked up the #, but the recording just said call 202-459-1993, and if I don't know who it is, I always look it up to see if it's a scam, and apparently; it is.
"IRS" called to report my tax returns were erroneous. They left a Washington DC return number for me to call 202-459-1993
I called 3 different times and spoke with 3 different "IRS reps" Fiirst, I spoke with "Kevin Brown" (distinct Arabic accent !)
ID Badge # IRM1400 ... the years of my Tax return in question: 2008-2003. I asked for my case # - "25130IRC". The amount I owe- $4800.00. I should expect IRS police at my door within 45 minutes and take me to prison ! !
The second call --Alex Turner Badge ID 101975 , Case # BC1928 (again a very heavy Arab accent with call center chaos in the background !) This time the amount I owe is $3800.00 (not $4800 as before). Again, the threats of arrest, court, imprisonment heavy fines, etc, at first were "threatening" because I thought it was for real until I took a shower and got thinking about what just happened. The Third time I called... another whole set of different "data"!! which confirmed for my they are a well organized terror cell !!!
These foreigners should be deported or in prison...not because they are foreigners,
but because they are terrorizing American taxpaying citizens !!
