Says I committed tax fraud. Said no one home to sign for "laters" (letters) when I told him IRS does not call. He said calling now or will send the sherif to put me behind the bars. This is the fraud being committed!!w7p7n
These [***] scared the life out of my sister yesterday, telling them the cops are on their way to our house for not paying IRS money. I am not done with these [***]!! trust me i will keep on calling and harassing them, and will be reaching out to the district attorney now, and channel 7 & 12. They messed with the wrong family this time!!!
Basically as every body else here. Speaker (very strong India or Pakistan accent) represented himself as working for the IRS. Gave me a case No. UK8401GH520. Said if I didn't call the telephone No. (202) 506 9240 and speak with Mark Victor He would turn paperwork over to local Sheriffs Department for prosecution and I would be in jail within the next two hours (approximately 9 hrs ago). Said documents were attempted to be delivered on two occasions and this is their (IRS) last attempt to get my cooperation. They asked if I had a lawyer they could fax paperwork too, and if I didn't I'd better get one quick. My mistake was treating them as if they might be the IRS and then trying to sort out the information they were working from. In my stupidity I corrected the name by removing a middle initial, and then then the address from "street" to "court". But my biggest mistake was supplying my father's first name, something I have on many occasions lectured my wife and children not too! I must admit, I was caught up in the "moment" and let my guard down. As we continued to talk I became more and more suspicious and did ask for the callers name which he quickly offered as David Copper. When he was finished with me he hung up with "god bless you" and something like "protect you in jail"! Very very worked up I called the number given and reached a "crappy" recording saying it was the IRS and I should leave a message where upon I left the "case No. I was given" with no further information except that they now have a return call confirming my telephone number! Dam am I stupid or what? Now I have been researching "IRS fraud" and am convinced I am treating this correctly as some sort of telephone fraud. I hope my reply helps someone relax and breath easier that has had a similar experience.
Got a call on Saturday June 14 from a David Cooper from the IRS said if I did call back in 45 to 50 minutes my case was going to the courthouse. He said this was a Legal notice in regards to a tax shortage and that if I don't call that the police would arresting me. Well I thought it was strange that the IRS was working on the weekend. I did call him back on Monday and told him that I would call him on my day off. I did some research and find this info on David Cooper and the telephone # of 202-506-9240. He had a indian accent. Will not be call this guy today. But reporting it the proper people. It sounded like a scam. Don't give out any info to this jerk.
Got a call for my wife...said his name was Mark Victor from the IRS (Indian accent). Told me to have wife call him back. We file joint returns, so this is full of crap.
