Three calls between 5:30 and 6:45 am today (PDT) Call display gives number and "unknown" caller. The area code is listed as New Haven area in Connecticut. Rings until my message kicks in, Nothing left on my machine by the caller. Unfortunately, there is no name/company attached to this name, so it's hard to report/prevent it - other than turning the phone off all night! From previous messages, this number seems to have been shooting out anonymous calls for some time.
They just phoned us and my mother answered and didn't understand what they where asking her to do. I do computer science in university so i thought i would take the call for her. They basically took my into the event viewer and tried to convince me that all the recorded errors where crashing my computer and there was nothing any of security of maintenance software could do about. They will either try take control of your computer if your gullible enough of make you pay to fix. Its a really badly set up scam and if your like me and want to avoid a big fuss you can us the method is used, which basically was to say that a local technician would fix my computer for free because it was under warranty. This made him very annoyed and he hung up. I would really recommend getting a call blocking service because i have one for my phone and it is great because these kinds of people and companies try to phone people all the time and they are just wasting our time. Also i wrote the number down as 2031291358.
Got a call after midnight i answered it and this woman said she was from Microsoft and that i have malicious software being downloaded into my computer. I said really oh no with a fake concern in my voice. She then told me to get around my computer now and she will help me fix it, i said ok. She told me to look on my keyboard and to tell her what is beside the Ctrl button on my keyboard i finally said while laughing lady i don't have a computer then she called me an idiot and hung up on me. I was still laughing.
