Caller wants me to provide info about my credit cards so they can give me some deal on interest rates -- they say i "qualify" for this deal because of my payment history. Why would i want to discuss my credit cards with a stranger? This is a scam -- they don't know anything about me or my payments or even whether i have any credit cards.
Credit Card Scam. Telemarketers from India trying to steal my credit card and personal information. Same organization as "Rachel from Card Member Services". DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY REAL INFORMATION.
These "Consumer Advocate" scumbags have plagued me for years. Today it was this number, but the numbers are constantly changing. (The numbers are spoofed. They're probably not even in this country.) In the past, I've tried speaking with a rep to ask them to stop calling me and also to inform them I'm on the 'Do Not Call Registry'. Every single time I tried to ask, they hung up on me, mid sentence. (Sometimes cussing at me before hanging up.)
Several years ago, before I understood what spoofing was, I filed a complaint with the FCC containing all the numbers they had used to call me. I cannot recall the FCC's exact response, but it basically said that there was nothing they could do about it. (Typical.)
Do not give these people ANY information! They are a menace to society and apparently they cannot be stopped.
