Got a voicemail last night guy by the name Agent Ross saying I was under investigation and to call between 9am to 4pm. I always search number and check, I know my taxes are fine.
Great detailed information concerning what to do about this obvious (foreign) US IRS Scammer outfit using
tel # 1-206-201-2091. I naturally have contacted both the FTC by phone and the Treasury.gov website to file complaints against this illicit crime ring. Additionally, I always let unrecognized phone calls go directly to voicemail and place a phone block on the number whether a strange message is left or not. This jerk actually left a garbled threatening voice message which is a first. Usually, most scammers hang up after 4 rings that go to voicemail and try again later.
Got an automated call from this number that there was "a warrant out" for my arrest for "not paying taxes." I hung up before the messaged finished, and called the number back using my caller ID. A man answered in Spanish- I said (in English) "Why are you calling my phone?" and he answered "There's a warrant out for you for taxes that you owe." I told him he was full of bullsh*t. He mumbled something and then told me "F*ck you!" so I told him "Well, f*ck you, too!" then hung up.
Got called saying I was under investigation for tax evasion. Left phone # to call back. I laughed at him and told him no way. He kept talking throughout so it sounded like a recorded call.
Got same call as others. From a Donald Ross of irs investigations. Wasn't home to answer, but it sounds like a recorded message, and sounded like an Australian accent (?? any one else pick up on that accent? ) on some of his words.
