Just recieved a call from these people. After enough interogation on my part, the guy asked just what I wanted, because I was taking up his time from other paying customers. I reminded him that he was the one who called. NEVER give out information to someone who calls you ! Total scam. Not sure where to report it.
Hey everyone, if you get a phone call from this number: 206-201-2349, it's a scam! They called me today and said they were from Windows Live Help and that I had a bad malicious intrusion on my computer and they "wanted to warn me". He (Steven Wilson, could barely speak English) wanted me to sit down at my computer and give him access to show me which malicious virus that I can gotten. He said my Norton 360 could not protect against it. Yeah, like I'm born yesterday haha. As soon as I told him I was calling back the number to check on him, he hung up. Beware folk, not good people!
The person that called me from this number said they were calling from Vancouver BC for Windows, then I was transferred to a sales person and he said he was in Victoria but my call display said the call was from New York, when I questioned about the New York number they said that was there international number is there any truth to these people trying to sell an upgrade for a security system for a computer they tried to tell me my computer was going to die any minute any day, I said I wanted to sleep on the sale and they said there is no time, I am pretty sure they are scamming people out of their hard earned money the scam starts at $115.00 and goes up to $299.00, a suspicious person I am
Had a similar experience to the one that Patti expalined. The person told me that my computer was full of viruses and that they wanted me to turn my computer on and they would explain the problem to me. I was suspicious so I asked for their number so that I could call them back. They called one other time prior to this and wanted to know my e mail address. I hung up. This is definitely a scam!
