Been recieving these calls consistently over the past week. The people ask for my boss and when I say he isn't in, they hurridly claim they are returning his call but then fail to leave a phone. I pulled the number from our caller ID - is read "SMS".
If they are really legitimate and returning a call, I need more info. Otherwise, I have to default to them being telemarketers.
Russ Johnson called and would not give a company name and said his call was about "some business".
He wouldn't reveal his company and hung up immediately when I asked if I could take a message for him.
"Tom Hansen" called me today, as well. Well he was transferred to me as the assistant to the person he was asking for..so he was fully aware that I am "So-n-So"'s Assistant. He was generally concerned that we received their packet of information and I politely informed him that I did see it come through and attempted to take a message. Tom proceeded with, "Well, I hope you can respect that neither myself or my boss care if YOU see the information"...... I was, from then on, done being nice. I will let you use your imagination...
This number called and no one was there, heard someone yelling some numbers in the background, but no one picked up the phone. I answered the call several times, "Hello?" Then they finally hung up.
