I received the call from Techno Life ... The lady had an Indian accent. Told me I had viruses on my machine, I told her I would have to call her back. The phone number she gave me ...206-203-5477. Nail them ... This is sickening !!!
received a call from a guy who said he works for omnitech and that my computer has a virus/trojan that needs immediate attention or it will crash. He spoke with a foreign accent, however gave his name as David Johnson (caucasian name). His phone # was 206-203-6536. He said that omnitech will attempt to fix the virus. He asked me to type in www.teamviewer.com into my browser and he will show me the problem. This allowed him to take control on my screen and it showed that my computer and banking had a virus. He told me that omnitech would refund my initial fee, and that he would refer me to a microsoft employee, however i would have to send a fee of $199.00 via western union . I asked him to put me through to microsoft and i would have them send me an-email in this regard. He told me he would transfer my call to microsoft. Another male with a foreign accent (same background noise) said his name was Steve Jones and his phone # 518-360-9741. He also encouraged me to send $ via western union and that he has already started to fix my computer. I then told him I was a Canadian police officer and was supicious of these calls. He then hung up. I googled these numbers and they are fictitious.
